    • Today we celebrate Funfair Tycoon's 100th patch!


      Today there are mainly so-called ‘Quality of Life’ improvements that should make the game more comfortable for you.
      Let's start with the changelog in brief, then I'll go into more detail about the important changes.


      Changelog:
      • [feature] Event list: The list has been completely revised both technically and visually. New filters, a better overview and shorter click paths ensure that you can plan your season better than ever before!
      • [feature] Applications without caravans: Caravans are no longer required in the application. Any caravan of the respective business can be set up on site.
      • [feature] Caravan fees: The caravan fees were previously part of the attraction fees. As a result of the above-mentioned change, this item is no longer included in the attraction fees, but the fees are now due before set-up and must be paid separately for each caravan. There is also a new surcharge that must be paid from the 2nd caravan and increases with each additional caravan.
      • [feature] Late arrival - caravan site: With the new Premium feature, caravans can still be set up even if they arrive late.
      • [adjusted] Consumables: The limit for buying consumables on the market has been increased from 50 to 300. This means that you can now buy up to 300 items of one type at once with one click. So please pay attention to the quantity you set when buying
      • [adjusted] UI: The user interface (UI) in the game has been slightly customised. Many icons have been replaced and there are a few colour changes in the menu and headings.
      • [fixed] With some resolutions it could happen that elements in the background were rearranged when a window was opened
      • [fixed] It could sometimes happen that the page could no longer be scrolled when closing a window


      This is a large patch that also brings many small changes throughout the game. In case of display problems, please clear your browser cache before reporting a problem. Thank you!



      Event list


      The most noticeable and biggest change in Patch 100 concerns the event list.
      Here are a few details:





      Filter


      2 new filters have been added:
      • Applications by business
      • First event day


      Event-window and map


      The map is no longer next to or in the background of the event list, instead it is now part of the window that also contains all the important data about the event. The window has been implemented as a side sheet, i.e. it opens on the right-hand side of the screen. This allows you to click on the individual events in the list and still immediately see the location of the venue on the map.



      For mobile devices, the window has been implemented as a bottom sheet that slides into the screen from below. The window can be enlarged or closed by touch.






      Applications


      Applications can be submitted directly in the event window. Everything now works without page reloads and should be as convenient as possible for you.
      Another new feature is that you can now also see the applications at a glance in the event list entries: the business numbers and the icon of the attraction are now displayed here.






      City images


      A small detail: You can now also see background images in the event list. Of course, we don't have a separate picture for each location. There is one for each country and then one for each capital city. In Germany, there is also one for each state capital.



      Instant contracts


      The premium feature can now be switched on and off using the checkbox in the filters. If the checkbox is activated, only events with instant contracts are displayed.
      This means that you can now also use all filters of the event search for instant contracts! The map can also be opened by clicking on an event - this was previously not possible for instant contracts.



      Caravan fees


      Caravan fees are now no longer part of the general pitch fees but must be paid individually for each caravan before it is set up.
      The fees have not only been ‘shifted’, but are now also recalculated. Previously, staff caravans had to pay proportionally much more than smaller caravans, this ratio is now fairer.


      There is also a surcharge:
      From the 2nd caravan there is a surcharge of 15%, from the 3rd 30% and so on.


      This should make it more financially attractive to reduce the number of caravans in a business to a minimum in order to save costs and better justify investments in staff cars.


      Old applications - downward compatibility:
      In the applications that you sent before this patch, the caravans were still listed and were therefore part of the pitch fees. The new system takes this into account, so nobody has to pay twice.






      Late arrival - caravan site


      Previously, anyone arriving with their caravan after the start of the event could no longer set it up. This is now possible, but only for an additional fee (30 credits). The caravan can then be set up on an area adjacent to the fairground site and used as usual. This is a premium feature.


      In general, the following still applies: The caravan can be set up at any time if it has been transported to the festival site before the start of the event.
